Airbrush TanningFull Body Tan $40
Preparing yourself for your appointment:
What to expect during the application and after:
You will be asked to stand in several different positions while being airbrushed. The solution will feel cold during application, but not unpleasant.
After your airbrush, you will be coated with a bronzer. This is to allow us to see exactly where the solution is being applied during application. This is not the color and darkness you will be after your tan has fully developed.
If there are drips or creases in the bronzer, do not worry, that will all wash away after you shower. Your skin will feel slightly tacky during this time.
Over the next eight hours, your tan will develop under the bronzer. You must wait 8 hours after application before you shower.
After you shower you will see your true color and tone results.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is this a “spray tan” booth? A: No! Your tan will be expertly applied with an airbrush by a real live (female) person, who is a licensed cosmetologist.
Q: I don't tan in the sun, I always burn. Will this work for me? A: Yes! This is especially beneficial for the fair skinned person. You will be able to have the tan you've always wanted without the danger of the sun.
Q: Will I look orange and streaky? A: No! Airbrush tanning has come a long way. The solution works with your own natural skin tone and develops accordingly. That is why the airbrush tan will look different on a very pale person than it does on a person who already has a little color. No matter what your natural skin tone is, the airbrush tan will look natural. Hard to believe, isn't it? :)
Q: I'm going to a special event. Should I get my tan that day? A: No, not in most cases. This product requires you to wait 8 hours before showering, and then you see true color results. Your appointment should be made with that in mind. However, if you have an event for the evening, and you can get an appointment that same day and allow enough time to wait 8 hours, shower, and then get ready for your event, then it's no problem!
We recommend a “trial run” if you are going to be wearing this tan for a very special occasion, such as your wedding day. This is because some people like the results best in 24 hours, some like it best in 48 hours, etc. If you do a trial run of the tan and make a note of what day you felt you looked your very best, that is the best case scenario for planning your appointment around the actual event.
Q: I'm going to be wearing something very revealing. Do I have to wear clothes to get airbrushed? A: Nope. You can wear nothing at all if you like. Just keep in mind, there will be a person in front of you applying the airbrush, so you have to decide if you are comfortable with that or not. Just remember the person in front of you is a licensed cosmetologist, a female, and above all, a professional. We've seen it all, and there is no judgment here. However, we do require you to wear at the very least, a disposable thong that we provide. This is for your own safety for when we are spraying your upper thigh area. After the rest of your body is sprayed, the thong straps can be removed and that area can be sprayed if you truly desire to have no lines whatsoever.
Q: I'm uncomfortable getting undressed in front of someone else, but I still want the airbrush tan. What can I do? A: You can wear as much or as little clothing as you like. Even if you want to wear a tank top and shorts, that's fine. For the more modest client, we recommend wearing your bathing suit or what you would normally wear to the beach or pool. That way, everything that will be uncovered in public is being tanned, without having to reveal anything you are uncomfortable with.
Q: Will the solution stain my clothes or sheets? A: Honestly, maybe. The manufacturers claim that it will not, but in the case of very light/white clothing or sheets, we have been told it has stained. We recommend wearing dark clothing to/during/from your appointment, and for the remainder of the 8 hours before showering. We don't recommend sleeping on white sheets if you have not yet showered off the bronzer before going to bed.
Q: When is the best time for me to get airbrushed? Morning or evening? A: There really is no “best time.” Some clients like to do it in the morning so they can shower before bed, while others like to do it in the evening and sleep on it and shower in the morning when they get up. Just remember to plan according to the 8 hours needed before showering, and we don't recommend sleeping on white sheets.
Q: I just want certain areas of my body tanned. Can I do that? A: Absolutely. We price according to what area you are getting airbrushed, and if you don't see it on the list, we can customize your tan for your individual needs.
Q: How long will the tan last? A: Approximately 5-8 days. It depends on how often you shower, and how much you moisturize. We recommend moisturizing every day to reach the maximum lifespan of your tan.
Q: Help! The bottoms of my feet got orange! What do I do? A: We take every precaution to not let this happen during the tanning process. As you will be instructed, you must pay special attention to where you are putting your feet during the process, as well as after. Unfortunately it does happen and you accidentally step in some solution. If you notice that your feet are starting to look orange, we recommend scrubbing them with a wet washcloth and soap as soon as you notice. We don't recommend getting in the shower or tub before the 8 hour developing period is over, so a washcloth is your best option.
Q: There are some uneven looking areas on my body after I was airbrushed, does this matter? A: No. You will often get uneven areas in the creases of your elbows or knees, and occasionally an area will get overly saturated and look like it “dripped.” After you shower in 8 hours, everything will look even. However, in the rare case that areas still look uneven after you showered, please call and let us know so you can come in and have us take a look and reapply if necessary.

BalayageBalayage is painted on highlights. It gives the hair a more natural look than foils by creating less color at the roots and more color at the ends to create a sun-kissed, natural look. It eliminates the “stripey” look of foils and allows for a longer time period between touch-ups. Balayage is only ideal for clients who already have medium to light hair naturally, and just desire a lightening to the top layers of hair. If you're not sure if you're a good candidate for balayage, come in for a free consultation!

BRAZILIAN KERATIN TREATMENTFrequently Asked QuestionsQ: Why do you require a $50 deposit when making an appointment for this service?
A: Because this service requires such a long processing time, it takes up a large amount of the schedule. In the past, if someone cancels at the last minute, there is not enough time for other clients to fill those appointment slots, and that in unfair to the stylist. The $50 deposit ensures that the client either shows up for the appointment, or cancels with 48 hours notice. As long as you cancel no sooner than 48 hours, the deposit can still be applied to your treatment when you reschedule your appointment.
Q: Is this a permanent Straightener? A: No. This makes your hair smooth, silky, and more manageable, in addition to drying faster and without frizz.
Q: How does this differ from a thermal (Japanese) straightener? A: There is no thio or lye in this product, therefore there is no threat of the damage with this product that is commonly related to thermal straighteners. Also, this product only reduces curl by 25-50%, whereas thermal straighteners reduce curl completely. Therefore, this product can be worn curly/scrunched, or very easily blown dry.
Q: Does the product you use contain formaldehyde? A: NO! The product we use is called Simply Smooth, and it is 100% formaldehyde free.
Q: How long will the process take to perform? A: The process can take anywhere from 1 1/2- 3 hours, depending on your hair length and thickness. Feel free to bring a snack, reading materials, or even your laptop- we have free wi-fi! :)
Q: How long does the treatment last? A:Up to 16 weeks with proper maintenance.
Q:Are there any special requirements for upkeep? A: Yes. You will be given a keratin extending shampoo and conditioner at the time of your appointment. (included in the price) The things to avoid to get the longest life out of your keratin treatment are sulfates and salts, so if you use shampoo with sulfates, or swim in the ocean or pool, the treatment might not last as long. However, doing any of these things aren't dangerous and won't cause your hair to become damaged, it will only reduce the lifespan of your treatment.
Q: Does the treatment require a touch up application? Does it cost less? A: No. Every time you get a keratin treatment, it will be applied to the entire hair shaft. This is because the product is not permanent and does not “grow out,” it gradually washes out evenly from roots to ends. Because the process is exactly the same every time, the price is not any less for another treatment.
Q:If the previously processed hair is overlapped, doesn't that cause damage and breakage? A:Not with this product. This is a natural keratin based product with no harsh chemicals. In fact, most our clients find that the results only get better with each new application.
Q: Can I get this treatment if I have colored or highlighted hair? A: Yes! This treatment is great for color treated hair, in fact, both processes can be done in the same day if you wish. The keratin treatment would be applied after the color process. In some rare cases, over-processed/bleached hair may not be able to have this treatment because of the high amount of heat used during the process itself. At Hairs To You, we believe the health of the hair comes first, and we will advise you before the treatment if we think you should not have it performed.
Q: How soon can you shampoo your hair after the service? A: You must wait 4 days after your treatment to shampoo or wet the hair. This is very important to maintain the lifespan of the keratin treatment.
Q: Can I put clips or ponytails in my hair? A: No. For the initial 4 day period, you need to avoid using any clips, ponytail holders, or headbands. We recommend using a shower cap with hair lightly tucked into it for showering or face washing. A very loose headband would also be okay if immediately removed after.
Q: How often can I have the treatment done? A:You can have this treatment done as often as every 4 weeks if desired. Usually our clients find every three months is normal, and some clients get the treatment done in the spring/early summer, and don't feel they need it through the winter months.
